Is the output lower resolution?

No. The PNG has the same dimensions as your original — unlike many services that limit free downloads to a small preview.
How good is the result, and which photos work best?

It uses IS-Net, a high-accuracy open-source segmentation model (Apache-2.0). People, products and animals with a clear subject work best. “Keep main subject only” removes stray objects automatically, and the brush lets you fix the rest by hand.
Why is the first run slower?
